I am Carlo Falchi, I am 34 years old, and I came from Sassari, Italy.
I played basketball in Italy since I was 5 years old and during my career I had the opportunity to play both at regional and national level.
I started coaching more than 10 years ago. My Italian qualifications are “Istruttore Nazionale” and “Allenatore”, my Dutch qualification is “BT3”.
I am qualified at the highest level to coach mini-basketball (from 5 to 11 years old), and youth (from 12 to 21 years old). I am qualified to be the head coach in the Serie B men and Serie A2 women championships and to be assistant in the Serie A men and women championships.
During my career, I coached all the categories from mini-basketball to under21 as head coach. I coached in the Serie B female league as assistant coach. I was responsible for the management and technical work of the assigned groups (from 5 to 20 years old), both women and men, in local, regional, and national youth championships. In addition, I was responsible for having public relationship with other local, regional, and national basketball teams, scheduling and joining meetings with families, managing the work of the technical staff.
From August 2014, I worked for the Italian Basketball Federation as Coach and Commissioner in the regional staff of Federal Technical Centers (C.T.F.). In the same period I also worked as Manager of the mini-basketball championships and events for the province of Sassari.
From September 2016, I collaborated with some elementary school as “External Teacher” in the social project called “SMB EAGLES”. I was responsible for the promotion of the Mini-Basketball in all the classes of the two elementary schools which the comprehensive school is composed of. I was responsible for the technical work and of the whole activity, for adopting a pedagogical approach, and teaching the rudiments of the Mini-Basketball.
I am currently collaborating with the Rotterdam Basketball as head coach of the under 14 group and the second senior team.
I have been collaborating as coach with the Basketball Academy Rotterdam since last year and as an assistant coach with the under 15 Dutch National Team since May 2018.
